Exoticized

by Cindy Chung Jing Wo

Perambulations among the wild-eyed

Misty-eyed turns puffy-eyed

Being caught in an awkward plight

Plans are unripe

Inarticulate cries of rage

Either to obey

Or just take hike

Gather the like-minded

Get myself fully engaged

Feel the intervals between ticks dilate

The only heart beating in the room belongs to me

Squeeze just hard enough to become a constant ache

Constantly pissing in the biting wind

Accompanied by a heavy rain rinse

But I will take the blessing from the daybreak

And give faith that it will clear the opaque
