On 13 April 2022, Ms Molly Tuttle conducted a one-and-a-half-hour online workshop on poster presentations to equip IE final-year students with poster presentation skills. The workshop aimed (1) to help students understand how to make an effective and attractive traditional poster; (2) to introduce a new approach to making a poster; (3) to prepare them for answering common questions asked by the audience; and (4) to enhance their language awareness. As indicated by a post-workshop survey, the workshop was generally well-received by students. They found the workshop informative and stimulating and particularly spoke highly of the teacher for her enthusiasm and clear delivery of materials. The EAC team is delighted to learn that students benefitted a lot from the workshop and the content aims were achieved. The team is thankful for the long-lasting collaboration with the IE department and looks forward to providing their students with more language support in the next academic year.
