Our Projects

Creative Writing Project

The Creative Writing Project, an extension of the English Across the Curriculum (EAC) Project, was launched with the aim to inspire students to become more confident and expressive writers and to foster the love of the literary craft.

Project Chrysalis

Project Chrysalis is the perfect project for you to improve your public speaking and pitching skills. Through this project, you will develop your ability to articulate a problem, develop a solution and pitch your solution to professionals by creating a video presentation.

Interactive Speaking Platform

Interactive Speaking Platform (ISP) aims to create a self-access environment for students to pursue their learning of impromptu speaking and job interview skills at their own pace. ISP provides them with resources in the form of instructional videos, demonstration videos, supplementary notes and self-practice materials.

CUHK Capstone Project Presentation Competition

The CUHK Capstone Project Presentation Competition (CPPC) aims to provide a university-wide platform for students to showcase their year-long capstone projects to a wider audience.

Peer Tutoring Scheme

Peer Tutoring Scheme offers informal opportunities for CUHK undergraduates and postgraduates to consult trained Peer Tutors on the use of English language in different areas of need, in particular, speaking and writing.

ELTU IELTS Initiative

The ELTU IELTS initiative, an important part of the ELTU Quality Assurance Project, is funded by the Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grant (TDLEG) to obtain additional information about CUHK undergraduate students’ language needs and to help monitor their English language proficiency over the 3-year ELTU programme period.

Student Activities Project

ELTU's Student Activities Project, launched in 2012, aims at promoting English learning beyond the classroom setting with the use of a soft approach.

CUHK English Public Speaking Competition 2025

It aims to promote English public speaking on campus, and provide an opportunity for students to practice and showcase their English public speaking skills.

English Across the Curriculum

To collaborate with content teachers in enhancing students’ level of language awareness and language use in the discipline.

Business Meeting Platform

BUSINESS MEETING PLATFORM is a platform that introduces the language and etiquette rules for professional business meetings based on specific workplace scenarios.
