In Term 2 of the 2023–24 academic year, the EAC team arranged the second research writing workshop for final-year students in the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education. The workshop primarily focused on key sections of a FYP report, specifically the results, discussion, and conclusion. The instructors developed in-class exercises to illustrate and demonstrated practical writing tips, while also assessing students’ understanding and promoting interaction. Many participants expressed appreciation for the instructors’ clear explanation of key topic areas. They enjoyed the interactive and hands-on approach of the workshop delivery, finding it conducive to learning and skill development. Some specifically highlighted the practicality and applicability of the workshop content to their disciplinary courses, noting the transferable nature of the writing/language points covered. The EAC team is pleased with the overall positive feedback and is excited to continue working with the SSPE department to assist students in their research writing endeavors.
