On 1 November 2023, Mr Yao Hing Wong conducted an academic writing workshop for undergraduate students of the Department of Physics. In this in-person workshop, students were introduced to academic writing conventions, specifically in short lab reports. Mr Wong provided an overview of the accepted structure of short lab reports, explained the writing conventions for each section, and emphasized the design requirements for figures and tables. The students were highly engaged throughout the session, and the workshop received positive feedback. The EAC team is pleased with the outcome of the workshop and looks forward to future collaborations with the Department of Physics.
