On October 11th, 2023, Mr. Steven Clarke conducted a pitching workshop designed for students enrolled in the CURE3027 Cultural and Creative Industries course. During the hour-long workshop, students were introduced to the principles of business proposal pitching. This included guidance on translating their ideas into a well-structured proposal and delivering it effectively to an audience. The session contained both theoretical and practical elements, providing students with the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills through engaging in group exercises. In a post-workshop feedback survey, the students’ overall responses were positive. They particularly enjoyed the interactive elements of the workshop, which allowed them to experiment with pitching techniques under the guidance of the instructor. The EAC project team is pleased with the workshop’s success and is looking forward to future collaborations with Professor Peichi Chung, instructor of CURE3027, and the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
