On 5 October 2022 and 6 October 2022, Ms Molly Tuttle conducted two identical sessions of a face-to-face workshop on final-year project report writing for final-year undergraduate MAE students. Each session lasted approximately one hour and 45 minutes. The aim of the workshop was to familiarize students with the structure and common language features of an FYP report. The workshop was delivered in the form of a PowerPoint presentation with past student sample reports and excerpts of faculty publications for illustration and discussion. The results of a post-workshop survey showed that the students felt very positively about the design of the workshop and the teaching approach adopted. The EAC team looks forward to delivering the second workshop on language use in MAE FYP report writing in the second term of the 2022-2023 academic year.
