On Friday, November 15, 2024, Ms. Natalie Cheung conducted a 90-minute academic writing workshop for Professor James Frankel’s CURE1123 World Religions course. The workshop aimed to prepare students for their upcoming “Compare and Contrast Essay” by focusing on key elements of effective academic writing, including titles, thesis statements, structure, introductions, conclusions, and transitions. Students enjoyed the clarity of the workshop’s instruction and the reference materials of student samples. The EAC team is encouraged to see the positive response to the workshop and looks forward to opportunities to collaborate with Professor Frankel and the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
