On 18 November 2020, Mr Rickey Lu conducted a 90-minute workshop for final-year IE students to prepare them for FYP PowerPoint presentations. The workshop aims to help students understand how to organize and present important ideas of their FYPs more effectively, how to illustrate their ideas with visual aids, and how language and delivery will be assessed. Mr Lu delivered the workshop in a relaxing and interactive manner on Zoom by launching polls and completing exercises with students, which successfully drew their attention and consolidated their understanding of the materials. As indicated by a post-workshop survey, students were highly satisfied with not only the content of the workshop, but also the teacher’s enthusiasm and clear explanation. The EAC team hopes to continue collaborating closely with the IE department and providing their students with different kinds of support in the future.
