On 20 February, 2019, the EAC team was invited once again to deliver a workshop for Dr Joseph Cho’s GDRS1002 ‘Feminist Theories’ course. This was a 1-hour workshop led by Mr Kelvin Chu that focused on the language skills to unpack mid-term questions and how to tailor their responses according to the different command terms. The EAC team have conducted needs analysis through the collection of past mid-term responses as well as sample responses from students and exemplary answers provided by Dr Cho.
Based on the post-workshop evaluation, students found the authentic samples to be useful in facilitating language learning in the discipline. The step-by-step unpacking of the questions was also a transferable skill that they would be able to use in their upcoming mid-terms as well as the final examination.
