On 12 and 13 November 2024, two identical in-person sessions of an English Across the Curriculum (EAC) workshop on final year project (FYP) PowerPoint (PPT) presentations were offered to undergraduate students. This intervention is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Department of Information Engineering (IE) and the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU), aimed at familiarizing students with the preparation and delivery of FYP PPT presentations. The instructor, Mr. Andy O’Gorman, taught students effective methods for presenting their FYP projects, covering PPT structure and design conventions, as well as strategies for navigating Q&A sessions. To support students’ revision of the workshop content, he provided a handout containing interactive exercises and further resources. The EAC team looks forward to future collaborations with the IE department.
