On 28 October 2024, Mr Peter Andrews, Ms Wing Sha Chan, Mr Dean Fisher, Ms Ella Leung, and Ms Rhea Murdeshwar conducted online group presentation consultations for 60 undergraduate students enrolled in EESC1001 Exploring Earth and Environmental Sciences/UGEB1870 Exploring Earth and Environmental Sciences. These consultation sessions aimed to enhance the students’ oral presentation skills and improve their presentation design.  Each student group was assigned a research topic to explore collaboratively and presented their findings to the instructors to receive instant feedback. In addition, students received a PPT guide for their poster presentations as a reference. A post-consultation feedback survey received overall positive responses, with students reporting that they found the sessions informative and helpful. The EAC team is pleased with the outcomes of this intervention and looks forward to future collaborations with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
