On September 25, 2024, Ms Natalie Cheung held a workshop for students enrolled in Professor James Frankel’s CURE1123 World Religions course. The workshop aimed to equip students with the knowledge to 1) identify types and key features of journal articles to aid their search for sources; 2) familiarize themselves with the structure of a journal article; 3) learn about reading strategies when conducting research; and 4) read journal articles efficiently and effectively. Students appreciated Ms Cheung’s clear yet detailed approach to the subject matter. They also commented on the appropriate timing of the workshop at the beginning of the semester, which would allow them to immediately apply the strategies to their coursework. The EAC Team looks forward to the next workshop with Professor Frankel’s CURE1123 class in November.
