PHYS FYP Long Lab Report Workshop Feb 2024

On February 21, 2024, Mr. Yao Hing Wong and Ms. Ella Leung conducted a workshop on long lab report writing for undergraduate Physics students. In this hour-long, in-person workshop, students learned about the characteristics of each section of a long lab report, as well as the underlying writing and formatting conventions. In addition, they were provided with more in-depth instructions on abstract writing, article usage, coherence, and appropriate vocabulary for academic writing. During the session, students were animated to join interactive exercises testing their newly acquired knowledge. The students were very responsive throughout the session, and the workshop received positive feedback. The EAC team is pleased with the outcome of the workshop and looks forward to future collaborations with the Department of Physics.
