Academic and Research Writing Strategies Workshop for the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies (CURE)

On January 25th, 2024, Dr. Allen Ho held a workshop for students enrolled in CURE2157 Intermediate Seminar on academic and research writing strategies in preparation for writing the course’s final paper. This is the third year that the English Across the Curriculum Project team has conducted a workshop for CURE students taking this course. The workshop introduced practical strategies to prepare students for a term-end academic paper by organizing their sources with a synthesis matrix and reading as a writer. Overall, students found the workshop’s content useful and Dr. Ho’s presentation of the material engaging. The EAC Project team is pleased with how this workshop went and looks forward to future collaborations with the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
