On November 8th, 2023, Mr Steven Clarke conducted an academic writing workshop specifically designed for students enrolled in the CURE3027 Cultural and Creative Industries course. During this hour-long, in-person workshop, the primary focus was on various aspects of academic writing, including critical thinking, as well as the effective use of persuasive and concise language. In the post-workshop feedback survey, the responses from the students were overwhelmingly positive. They expressed that they had gained new skills and knowledge from the workshop and particularly enjoyed the open discussions. These discussions provided an opportunity for students to actively engage with the material and exchange ideas. The EAC project team is pleased with the success of the workshop and looks forward to future interventions in collaboration with Professor Peichi Chung, instructor of CURE3027, and the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
