Mr. Ivan Au conducted a one-hour-45-minute online workshop on academic writing for Professor James Frankel’s course, CURE1123 World Religions, on 25 November 2022. The workshop introduced students to the characteristics and structural patterns of a compare-and-contrast paper and equipped them with practical academic writing skills for completing their term paper assignment. Notably, students highly appreciated Mr. Au’s enthusiasm for conducting the workshop and his clear explanations of the materials. The workshop was conducted in the form of a PowerPoint presentation with two accompanying handouts for a group discussion activity and a peer collaborative writing practice in breakout rooms on Zoom.
