As part of the ongoing collaboration between the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) and the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE), Mr. Andy O’Gorman conducted two identical workshop sessions on final-year project (FYP) poster presentation design and delivery for MAE undergraduate students on 25 February, 2026. This workshop introduced MAE students to effective poster and oral presentation practices, covering content planning, visual design, and verbal/non-verbal delivery. Students also reviewed strategies for handling Q&A. The session combined brief input, interactive activities, and exemplar analysis. Feedback from a post-workshop survey indicated that students had a positive perception of the workshop and appreciated Mr. O’Gorman’s engaging and relaxed teaching style.

The EAC team looks forward to continuing this collaboration with the MAE Department in the future.
