On 25 & 30 March 2025, two identical sessions of an in-person workshop on Final Year Project (FYP) report writing were conducted for undergraduate students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) by Mr. Christopher Rozendaal as part of the ongoing English Across the Curriculum (EAC) collaboration between BME and the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU). The workshop built on the content delivered in Term 1, with a specific focus on identifying common language errors in BME and understanding academic writing conventions. The workshop was well attended, and students were very engaged. At the end of the workshop, the content was assessed through a written quiz. The post-workshop feedback students provided was very positive. In particular, students appreciated Mr. Rozendaal’s clear and exciting teaching style and the examples he provided during class. The EAC team looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the BME Department.
