On 27 October 2025, Ms Wen Yin CAO, Ms May Cheong, Ms Ella Leung, Mr Brian Olsen, and Ms Charlotte Ouyang conducted online group presentation consultations for 67 undergraduate students enrolled in EESC1001/UGEB1870 Exploring Earth and Environmental Sciences. The ELTU instructors were assigned to different breakout rooms, where they provided consultations to 20 groups of students. Each student group either selected or was pre-assigned a research topic to explore collaboratively and presented their findings to the instructors to receive feedback on various aspects of their presentations. These consultation sessions aimed to enhance the students’ oral presentation skills and improve their presentation design. In addition to instant feedback, students received a PPT guide for their poster presentations as a reference prior to the consultations. A post-consultation feedback survey received overall positive responses, with students reporting that they found the sessions helpful and informative. The EAC team is pleased with the outcomes of this intervention and looks forward to future collaborations with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
