On 3 and 5 November 2025, the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) ran two identical workshop sessions on final-year project presentations for undergraduate students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME). Instructor Mr Eddie Nie taught students the requirements for Thesis 1 presentations, including the content and structure of presentations and how to convert written reports into effective presentations using appropriate language and design conventions for PowerPoint slides. To support self-study, students were given a handout with exercises. Responses to a post-workshop feedback survey showed that students appreciated the teacher’s engaging and clear teaching style, the use of student samples, and the focus on effective presentation strategies. The EAC team looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the BME department.
