Knowledge-based Questions

Question Type

Explanation

Before you practise, you are advised to …

Knowledge-based

You are asked whether you know a certain concept, technology, or design principle.

• Examine the job description to ascertain technical concepts, and technologies that employers may ask about.
• Prepare technical details, examples and an evaluation of the predicted items.

The more you practise responding to technical questions that might come up in an engineering interview, the better prepared you will be for a real one.

Begin the practice by taking three steps:
1. Choose a question type: experience-based, knowledge-based or situational
2. Choose a question (out of 2)
3. Start the timer (1.5 min) when you are ready

After finishing one round of practice, you can repeat the practice as many times as you like.
