In Term 2 of the 2025–26 academic year, Mr. Ken Grimes continued to support undergraduate students in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (EESC) through language consultations. The consultations were offered on a flexible, student-centered basis and conducted through a combination of email and Zoom, allowing students to receive both written and interactive feedback on their final year project (FYP) report drafts and poster presentations.
A total of 12 students attended the consultation sessions during the term. The consultations focused on enhancing students’ language accuracy, clarity of expression, organization of ideas, and presentation skills. Overall, student feedback indicates that the consultation service was well-received and effective in supporting both report writing and presentation preparation. Students appreciated the personalized and detailed feedback, as well as the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions and rehearsals. The EAC team is pleased with the positive outcomes and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the EESC Department.
