On 12 and 18 March 2026, Mr. Matthew Fung conducted two identical sessions of a workshop on Final Year Project (FYP) oral presentations for undergraduate students from the Departments of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SEEM) and Financial Technology (FTEC). The workshop was designed to familiarise students with common language conventions, structural guidelines, and both verbal and non-verbal communication strategies for FYP oral presentations. Participants received a handout containing exercises as well as assessment criteria for oral examinations. During the workshop, students were also provided with transcripts of SEEM/FTEC oral presentations and were tasked with analysing these transcripts to identify typical presentation structures.

Responses from the post-workshop survey were overwhelmingly positive, with students praising Mr. Fung’s clear and enthusiastic teaching style.
