Format:
A prepared speech on the given topic of no more than 4 minutes and an impromptu session of 2 minutes
Eligibility:
All CUHK full-time undergraduate students who are non-native speakers of English
Prizes:
1st Prize: HK$5,000 cash2nd Prize: HK$3,000 cash3rd Prize: HK$2,000 cash (plus trophy and certificate)
Winner of the competition will be nominated to represent CUHK in The 23rd China Daily "21st Century Coca-Cola Cup" National English Speaking Competition (provided that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria), to take place in Hangzhou on 13-15 April 2018.
Winners and outstanding contestants will have the opportunity to exchange with champions of the National English Speaking Competition in a 6-day study programme (to be held on CUHK campus) in July 2018.
